Based in Montreal and Stockholm, Voidchaser is a progressive metal band formed in 2023 that quickly established itself as one to watch on both local and international scenes. Through a steady stream of releases, the band gained attention from niche outlets such as The ProgSpace, Prog Magazine and Prog Sphere, alongside coverage from major metal media including Metal Injection and Decibel Magazine.
In 2024, Voidchaser released their debut EP Odyssey, followed by standalone singles and their debut full-length album Solace, which charted among the top metal releases on Apple Music and iTunes in several countries.
The momentum continued in 2025 with the EP Trust, featuring guest appearances from Jim Grey of Caligula’s Horse and members of The Anchoret, and the band completed its first international tour across Canada and Europe, including appearances at ProgPower Europe and the inaugural ProgStorm Festival in Montréal.
In 2026, Voidchaser announced Interstellar I, their second full-length album, set in a vast, lore-infused deep space universe depicting themes of technological overreach, corruption, love and survival. Balancing a dense and layered wall of sound with high-energy choruses and catchy melodies, the album draws from Devin Townsend, Dream Theater, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath, reinterpreted through Voidchaser’s own modern and distinctive voice. With Interstellar I, the band promises to deliver its most ambitious and fully realized work to date.

HYPERCONVERTER
TO BE ReleaseD ON MARCH 11, 2026
HYPERCONVERTER is the second single from the upcoming album INTERSTELLAR I, an epic 7:27 track and easily the heaviest and most ambitious piece Voidchaser has released so far. The song pushes the band into darker and more technical territory while still keeping the big, memorable choruses that define their sound. Musically, it echoes the theatrical spirit of Devin Townsend’s Ziltoid the Omniscient and Dream Theater’s Systematic Chaos, reimagined through Voidchaser’s contemporary approach while remaining grounded in the classic heaviness associated with Deep Purple’s Machine Head era and Black Sabbath’s Paranoid.
